Your Hermmie tortoise diet is made of various vegetations. Some good foods include clover, leafy salads, honeysuckle, dandelion, curly kale, watercress, brussel tops, parsley, spring greens, coriander, rocket, carrot, parsnip, courgette and bell peppers.
Note: The majority of your pet’s diet list should be made up of leafy greens.
So, Can a hermann tortoise feed on bell peppers? Yes, it is safe as in none toxic, but they are a fruit and as such, should be fed sparely. When fed frequently, their gut flora will get upset and allow parasites and other pathogens to flourish.

Can Hermanns Tortoises eat Bell Peppers?
Yes, Hermannas tortoise (and any other tortoise) can safely consume bell peppers. Personally, I feed mine once every 3 months. I feed them tiny amounts, finely chopped, and mixed in with other greens when introducing it to a new tort.
